The Benson Latin American Collection announces the exhibition Hard Fought: Sam Coronado’s WWII Series, which opens on Tuesday, Feb. 17. Austin artist Sam Coronado (1946–2013) found inspiration for this series in the VOCES Oral History Project, directed by Dr. Maggie Rivas-Rodriguez at The University of Texas at Austin, which collected over 650 interviews and ephemera that give voice to the American Latino experience in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam.

Opening reception takes place at the Benson,  5:30pm – 7:30pm.
